The Lady Lions face Riverside at Parsons Tuesday night in another District matchup. Let's all head South & help our girls bring back a needed District win! GO LADY LIONS!
The Camden Lions roared in the McKenzie gym last Friday night and picked up a slick district victory, 58-51. The first period was relatively routine with Camden challenging every Rebel shot and end with a 12-10 McKenzie lead. In the second, a red-hot Matthew Chandler came in off the bench and lit it up for 10 points before the half and power the Lions to a 27-17 advantage! Matthew scored seven in the third including his third three-point shot, and the Lions were up 43-29 headed into the final period. With 1:53 left in the game and Camden up 54-45, the McKenzie coach opted for the "Hack-a-Lion" defense and five different CHS players got shots at the charity stripe. It didn't work, and Camden won 58-51.
Scoring for the Lions:
Matthew Chandler - 22
Jarrod Bain - 13
Kyle Harris - 12
Ben Reed - 6
Josh Guajardo - 3
Chris Carney - 2
