Huntingdon grabs two wins from Camden
The PA system wasn't working during the player intro's for either game at CHS gym Thursday night, and it was an omen of the events to follow as the Lady Lions and Lions dropped their last regular season home games to Huntingdon on Senior night. The Lady Lions lost 62-35 while the Lions game ended 63-56.
The Huntingdon Lady Fillies came into the game ranked #1 in the State in Class "A". The Lady Lions stayed within striking distance during the first period behind Jenna Evans & Savannah Cox 6 points each and Carmen Medina's two blocked shots. The period ended with the Lady Fillies up 15-12 on a last second 3-pointer. The second period saw Huntingdon crank up the defensive pressure and Camden succumb to a full blown "turnover epidemic".
The Lady Lions were only able to muster four points in the second as the Lady Fillies mounted a big advantage to go into the break ahead 30-18. The Lady Lions never threatened again with 10 players seeing action before the horn sounded on the 62-35 defeat.
Scoring for the Lady Lions:
Jenna Evans - 12
Savannah Cox - 10
Anna Martin - 4
Melissa Guajardo - 3
Erin Latendresse - 2
Carmen Medina - 2
