Talking with Head Lions Football Coach Kevin Ward about the victory at Trenton

Big win, a tale of two halves, really. We played well the first half, just gave up two big plays & read some of our keys wrong. The second drive they had, we missed two tackles with hands on the ball carrier. Before the game we talked to our kids about the importance of making good tackles, we just can’t allow missed tackles & their QB to go 70 yards. They did that a couple times. I was most proud of the character of our team, able to be down 14 points, still make adjustments, come back & put a scoring drive together with under three minutes left before half.
