Lions defeat Adamsville Cardinals 37-12
It was a rainy, foggy, muggy night in Adamsville as the Lions defeated the Cardinals for another Region 7AA victory. Scoring was as follows:
First Quarter: No scoring by either team.
Second Quarter: Adamsville’s Bradley Melton connected with Stephan Jackson for a 45-yard TD. Kicked was blocked by Camden. Camden answers with a 28-yard Andy Travis run, Danny Kim’s kick is good.
The Lions hold the Cardinals on the next series & take the ball over on downs. Travis scores again on a 5-yard run & Kim’s kick is good. The Cardinals come back with another pass from Melton to Jackson. A two-point conversion is attempted and Ross Dudley blocks the pass. As we go into the locker room at half, the score is Camden 14, Adamsville 12.
Third Quarter: Camden dominates the scoring in the third. Dudley takes it in from 1 and Kim’s kick is good. Michael Gaskin connects with Patrick Hassell on a 31-yard TD pass, Kim’s kick is good. Score at end of third: Lions 28, Adamsville 12.
Fourth Quarter: The Camden defense decided the Cardinals were not scoring anymore in this game, as we once again dominate the field. The Lion defense also decided they wanted to add a few points of their own, and taking advantage of the Cards poor field position, they sacked the Adamsville quarterback in the end zone for two! Camden’s safety makes it a 30-12 ballgame.
Devon White put the last TD points on the board with an 8-yard run, and Kim once again added the extra pint kick for a final score of Lions 37 - Cards12
