Camden splits with Milan
The Camden Lady Lions traveled to Milan and beat the Lady Bulldogs last Friday night 43-24, while the Lions lost 69-44.
The Lady Lions had trouble with the frozen rim at district foe Milan, and the cold-start resulted in a first period tie at six all. Lacey Cagle and Carmen Medina each chipped in 4 points apiece in the second to lead the Lady Lions to a 20-8 half time advantage. Our girls kept up the pressure in the third to mount a 30-12 score after three and cruised to a 43-24 final score over the over-matched Lady 'dawgs. Head Coach Karen Cox was able to get some playing time deep into the bench as nine scored for CHS.
Scoring for the Lady Lions:
Carmen Medina - 12
Lacey Cagle - 9
Karen Farmer - 5
Anna Martin - 4
Sandra Farmer - 3
Heather Dillon - 3
Brittany Berry - 3
Savannah Cox - 2
Jenna Evans - 2

Carmen Medina led with 9 rebounds, Sandra Farmer finished with 6. Sandra and Carmen tied

again on Monday night, 27 Jan at home against Waverly. Come out and let's cheer our Lady
Lions on to a big win in the "Battle for the Bridge"!
GO LADY LIONS!
The CHS Lions met the district leading Milan Bulldogs on their floor in the nightcap. The
Dawgs started out strong and never looked back as they led from wire to wire. Jarrod Bain
tipped a Brock Martin shot in for two at the half time buzzer to make it 24-38 Milan. The
Lions never quit, and the hustle of all our team was appreciated by the crowd. The final was
Milan 69, CHS 44.
Individual scoring for the Lions:

Brock Martin - 7
Kyle Harris - 7
Ben Reed - 5
