Daniel Woodall, Ben Tinkle, Ryne Haynie, and Shane Corbitt met the Tiger captains at midfield for the toss. They won it and we receive. There was a fumble on the return, and Bruceton starts on our 40. Patrick Willis gets the first of many carries, and gets hit hard three times before he is finally stopped at our 15. Not good. Hand off to Willis over tight end, and he scores. The kick is good, and with 11:32 showing in the first, Camden trails by seven.

They kick it to Ryne Haynie, and he is stopped at the 20. Josh Boyd is in motion right to left, grabs the handoff from quarterback Ben Tinkle, makes a good cut and is stopped at the 27. Boyd on second down over the middle, and is stopped just short of the first. The striped-ones want to measure it, yup, exactly 3 inches short of the first. Ben Tinkle dials that in, follows the block of center Josh Beasley, and it is a Lions first down at the 33! Three runs later it is 4th & 1, and the hard count doesn’t work, so Tinkle punts it out of bounds at the 41. That was just enough for Bruceton, as Willis takes the pitch, sweeps left end, shrugs off a few Lions, and scores. First kick is followed by a flag on us, second kick is low & left & ugly…but between the sticks and with 7:53 in the first, it is Camden down two scores.

Josh Guajardo grabs the kick and makes the 25 before he is stopped. Josh Boyd slants left for 4. Boyd’s run left is only good for one. Screen pass to Boyd results in no gain…so with 6:09 left in the first, the punts away, a flag is in the air, and it all ends up with a Bruceton first down at their 33.

The Lions defense has a plan…stop Willis. He starts left, Brian Markham is there to lead the charge, and a pack of Lions make the stop. The ref pitches a flag in on top, and it moves it all the way back to the 28 to make it 1st & 15. Kewl…

They jump, now its 1st & 20. Willis over right tackle, Heath Yoder slows him in the backfield, and Daniel Woodall is there to drop him for a loss of one! Maurice Gastelum and Justin Smith combine after Willis makes it 3rd & 17. They start thinking maybe a pass would be better, but Josh Guajardo breaks thru, and leads the sack of the Tigger QB to make it 4th & 25. The Bruceton punt is away, Ryne Haynie does his double dribble and then finds the handle and hits the burners. Two good moves & he makes the 50 before he is dragged down. The Big Blue defense makes a stand, and Ben Tinkle is punting it away. The refs add a flag to Heath Yoder’s stop for a Tiger using his hands (insert your own visual here), and it’s a first down ‘way back at the 17. A run slants over the left side of the line for two, and it’s the end of the first.

A Bruceton incomplete pass is followed by a Willis run, and they have a first down at their 26. Another incomplete pass, and then Willis again, first down at their 41. The Tiger screen pass starts to look too good, but Yoder stayed at home & they only get five yards. Willis left and it is a first down over at our 44. Brian Markham and Matthew Chandler cover an incomplete pass. While we are watching Willis, the “little back” busts thru the left side and gets all the way to our 21 before Daniel Woodall can drag him down. Willis right, Ryne Haynie makes a great tackle, but he already had six yards. Willis left again, and he scores. With 8:20 showing in the half, the kick is good & it’s a 21-0 game.

A very strange looking on-side kick off gives them the ball, they are able to drive down and score. Bruceton misses the kick, and with 7:36 showing it’s 27-0 their way. A fumble later in the next series gives them the ball, and with 3:44 in the half, the kick is good and it is 34-0 Blue Tigers. Another strange looking on side kick ends up out of bounds, so we start at our 35. Haynie is in motion, Boyd gets the handoff, and it’s no gain. Haynie in motion, he gets the ball, cuts around left end, and makes three Tiggers pay before he is stopped after a pick up of five. Ben Tinkle rolls out to the right and hits a slanting Ryne Haynie in the right flat. Ryne stiff arms one would-be tackler, and is finally run out of the right sideline at mid field! Great play!

Heath Yoder carries in traffic for one. Tinkle finds Matthew Chandler on the right sideline & Chandler is able to carry to the 26, First Down Lions! The screen pass to Boyd looks sweet, and Josh makes two miss as he burns the left sideline all the way to the one-yard line! Only 46 seconds showing, and a run by Josh Guajardo gets strung out for no gain. Time out Lions…

Ben Tinkle takes the snap from Josh Beasley and follows the blocks of Jeremy Stokes and Justin Smith only for about a half-yard…another time out Lions. With 30 seconds left in the half, Josh Boyd dives over left tackle and flips into the endzone for six! Touchdown Lions! Clay Carruth bangs the extra point thru, and we have 7 to their 34. Carruth bounces the squib kick, but they cover at their 41. Willis gets one more run in, but Corbitt, Gastelum, and Woodall meet him after 5, and it’s the end of the half.

Both bands perform at the half, and Clay Carruth kicks it away. The Blue offensive machine is cranking, and with 7:22 showing in the third, they score. Kick is good, and its 41-7 Blue Cats. Josh Guajardo handles Bruceton’s kick, and he is able to make the 35 before he is stopped. Haynie is the second back thru, and he picks up 4. Boyd hands it to Haynie, and Ryne makes the corner and scoots all the way to our 46, first down! Haynie carries right on first down, but is met by the defensive end for a loss of one. Tinkle takes the snap from Beasley, and spots Haynie open in the Bruceton backfield. The pass is complete down the right sideline, and Ryne makes the Bruceton 28, first down Lions! Heath Yoder blasts thru the middle of the line, makes a great cut to the left, and is stopped just short of the goal line! Great run! Boyd takes the handoff down the right sideline, and scores. The Tigers are flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct, but Carruth is able to drill the extra point, and with 4:05 in the third, it is Camden 14, Bruceton 41.

We kick it away, and the Tigers start a six-play drive that has them on our 31 with a first down and 30 seconds on the clock. The Bruceton back starts over the right side, but there is a fumble, and the Lions recover at the 33! Yoder bangs the middle for a pickup of three, and it’s the end of the third. Incomplete pass, and it’s 3rd & 7. Josh Boyd takes the double handoff, and slants over the left side of the line all the way to our 11! Great run! Tinkle just missed a pass to Daniel Woodall, 2nd & 10. Boyd for no gain. Lions time out to think it over…

Tinkle throws the fade to Haynie in the right corner of the endzone, but it is incomplete. We are going for it, and Tinkle fakes the screen to Boyd and hits Woodall in the right corner of the endzone, Touchdown Lions! The PAT kick is blocked, and with 10:26 left in the game, it is Camden 20, Bruceton 41.

Carruth kicks the ball into the hole at the 30-yard line, and we almost get to it first. They run backwards, hand it off, and get the ref tangled up in the tackle. It takes a while to get him safely off the field, and they have a first down on their 15. The Tigers quickly make it a first down at our 35, and nine plays later they make it 48-20.

They kick it out of bounds, and we start at the 35. Brian Markham hands it to Josh Boyd, and Josh makes a fine run to their 47! First down Lions! Markham fakes the give to Josh, and watches Yoder grab two yards up the middle. Boyd sprints around right end for a good gain, and a facemask-turned-handle adds five more. Lions first down at their 33. Markham gives the ball to the third back thru the hole, and Jesse Leonard drives for a first down at the 12! The double handoff ends up with Haynie, and he is pushed out of bounds after four. Josh Boyd slants over center, and drags them all to the one-foot stripe! Brian Markham knows the way, and a quarterback keeper gives us six! The kick just misses, and with 37 seconds left in the game, the score is 48-26 Bruceton. Carruth hits the kick to the right spot at the 30, but they cover, and a “win-the-game” play ends it.
