Old Business:

1. Dance that was held after the season opener: Started late due to the suspended play, but still made money. The gate was reduced to $2 each due to the late start. The cokes & chips sold well, Brock Martin provided music for $50, and we deposited approx. $150+/- for the night. More chaperone help is needed to sign up before the next dance, homecoming.

2. Folklife Festival Rib Eye sale: ValuMax will be used to provide food items and cokes as follows: 3 rib eyes, 2 baloney sticks, steak sauce, 24 – 12 packs of drinks (4 Diet, 5 Cokes, 5 Dr. Pepper, 5 Sprite, 5 Mello Yello). Greg Henry will get tables for tent; Steve King will get 24 x 6 Hoagie Buns and 7 doz HB buns. Bring lawn chairs!

3. Tailgate Friday night: Set up @ 5:30, eat as soon as 5:45 or so. Theme: “BBQ Bruceton”. Also, Band is selling Rib Eye steak sandwiches starting about 6 PM.

4. Chances on Hats: Smokey’s Closet donated at cost a Titan’s cap. We will sell chances at the gate for a Titan or Lion’s cap for $1 each.

5. Programs: Made up 250 for home opener, Cheerleaders sold 175 at the gate. We need to make sure that we control the “left-over” programs; someone was selling them for $1 each at the concession stand…? We need to push sales this Friday, we have the Bruceton team roster in our program! We will print up 150 this week…

6. Mum Sale: 117 of 200 mums are pre-sold. Need to let Christie know by this Wednesday if we have any large orders outstanding. We will have the mums delivered to Coach Fisher’s room about 4:30 PM on Wednesday October 2nd. We will have to water them on Thursday. Ken to deliver six bales of straw to Wright Field Friday PM before the game, so Christie can make a fall display to help sell the mums.

7. Sorghum Bowl Beauty Pageant: Can’t get it done in time for the game, we will have it on 22 October @ CHS gym. Coach Fisher to make sure the HS calendar is clear & add this event. Paula will handle trophies and crowns. Trina & Kaitlin (and others?) will assist with decoration. Ken will check with Connie Martin to see if concession stand will be available. Open doors-5:30, Register-6, Start pagent-6:30. Al Ward will be asked to MC, Ken will help set up concessions. The winners will be presented on Wright Field during half time of the last home game, Senior Night.

8. Sponsor’s Night: Before the game, we will read the major sponsors, boosters, and those that feed the team throughout the year. Ken to contact Country & Western & Arnold’s Fab to make sure that they are going to feed the team & cheerleaders.

9. Shirt Shak coverage: Sept 26th game: L. Markham & M. Busby, Oct. 1st game: Still need volunteers!

10. NEW BUSINESS: Punt, Pass, & Kick: This Sunday, 29 Sept, behind Field House. Need help with sign ups and measurements. Bring tape measures! Free to boys and girls ages 8 to 15.

11. Next meeting date: Monday, 7 October 5:30 PM Note: 5:30 PM start due to the CHS JV game @ Bruceton @ 6:30 PM
